Demand Planner in Training - Men's, Kid's & Toys

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to take the next step in their career as a Demand Planner In Training for the Menswear, Childrenswear and Toys categories.

This role would be a great opportunity for an established and passionate Replenishment /Allocation Analyst with aspirations to become a seasoned Demand Planner.

Be responsible for driving best practice replenishment in line with the Merchandise strategy and Support the Merchandise team through the Demand Planning function. Provide specialist advice to the business and drive improved forecast accuracy and product in-stocks for your TPC.

About the role:

  • Support the Demand Planner in running the demand forecasting for all merchandise in your TPC
  • Work with Merchandise and Demand planners to Identify key opportunities in replenishment management
  • Monitor and maintain forecast data information, making adjustments as required ensuring the optimisation of sales and system capabilities
  • Build collaborative partnerships and meet regularly with key stakeholders to review performance, identify issues and incorporate promotional events into forecasting
  • Patriciate and provide in-sight into in key seasonal strategy  and prior season reviews
  • Lead, coach and mentor RAs in conjunction with the Demand Planner
  • Support in RA functions when needed
  • Measure and action forecast accuracy and supplier delivery performance
  • Define forecast analysis and identify new items applicable to the forecastable replenishment method
  • Analyse the performance of products making recommendations and developing reporting measures to assist suppliers and merchandise teams to identify opportunities or issues within ranges
  • Review and manage replenished items based on seasonal sales patterns to maximise sales and profit 

About you:

  • Detailed understanding of the replenishment process in a retail environment and exceptional analytical skills
  • Tertiary education in a relevant degree such as business/commerce is advantageous but not essential
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Retek/RDF and Excel
  • Intermediate skills in forecasting
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to enable effective decisions to be made in relation to the replenishment of merchandise
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Strong data accuracy skills and attention to detail will be critical to success in this role
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes, including lead times, supplier requirements and overseas process
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently
