- Play a key role in the operations of our National Distribution Centre
- State-of-the-art DC, located in Ravenhall
Myer is looking for Shift Managers to manage the shift operations (AM, PM or Night) of the National Distribution Centre, providing online fulfilment services and store replenishment in a heavily automated operational environment. This role must create, establish, and maintain a multi-skilled team supporting multi-channel fulfilment nationally, delivering excellent customer service and support activities that are operationally efficient, effective, safe and compliant.
About the role:
- DC Operational Management. Ensure exceptional delivery of daily operations on the respective shift, driving optimal performance from all workplace resources including automation. Ensure continual review, improvement, and maintenance of operational activities to drive efficiency, service, safety, engagement and value with DC operations. Assist in the management of all site management activities including building compliance, loss prevention & security, maintenance scheduling, and licensing requirements.
- Collaboration. Manage significant change as the site develops through go-live and into its first phase of operation. Establish and maintain key relationships with Myer stores, Support Office departments, contractors, freight forwarders, carriers, authorities, customers and third parties. Responsible for providing agreed levels of service to Myer Stores through the efficient and effective management of a broad range of logistics activities.
- People Management. Drive engagement across the team and shift, facilitating ideas and solutions in a way that supports achievement of KPIs and continuous improvement.
- Financial Management. Ensure a cost-effective operation which delivers customer needs through effective leadership. Enable continuous workflow, taking immediate corrective action as required, trouble shooting and undertaking root cause analysis as required.
- Change Management. Implement and lead initiatives within the NDC, partnering with other NDC management teams.
About you:
- Experienced leader with proven high level people management skills for large multi-functional teams of 50+.
- Demonstrated experience with performance metrics, process improvement and people leadership.
- Possess strong operational experience in distribution warehousing, automation, online fulfilment, transport management, and retail warehousing.
- Previous experience leading large teams to high performance through coaching, mentoring and development
- Can demonstrate previous success in cost and productivity management and the ability to develop objectives in line with KPI objectives, and with clear timelines, relevant metrics and measures of success
- Demonstrated experience managing volume planning, forecasting, change management, workforce agility, and/or continuous improvement programs
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar logistics or Supply Chain role
- Supply Chain tertiary qualifications highly desired
