Group Finance Manager

About the role: 

  • Lead process improvement for finance through identification of business/opportunities and collaborating with the internal team, wider business and external parties to identify solutions and deliver the finance simplification strategy
  • Management of the Treasury function, including managing of banking relationships whilst ensuring effective implementation and oversight of cash flow management and working capital improvement activities
  • Management and overseeing of the group’s insurance function
  • Management of relationships with external parties including the lenders, insurers and others service providers as required to support business initiatives
  • Communicate with the Executive Management Team, as well as the Audit team and Financial Risk Committee
  • Support to other functions including Financial Reporting/Myer Legal and Company Secretary/Risk and Internal Audit.

 

About you: 

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in finance roles, preferably in a large corporate or listed company environment
  • Highly developed knowledge, understanding and experience running treasury operations, with minimum 3 years’ experience in treasury leadership roles, preferably in retail industry
  • Sounding understanding of merchant acquiring services and hedging products
  • Proven experience and a passion for leading successful finance simplification and transformation projects
  • Ability to mentor, lead and further develop large (10+ FTE) business services and banking teams to achieve excellent outcomes
  • Proven ability to provide strategic and practical finance partnership to business projects, operations, and at a governance level
  • Strong presentation skills and experience conveying complex financial matters to a variety of senior audiences.
