Myer is looking for a seasoned technology professional for a GM Technology – Supply Chain & Distribution role. As a member of the senior Technology leadership team, this new position will be accountable for leading the strategic initiatives, driving innovation, and optimise performance across our global supply chain, distribution, sourcing, and safety network for the Myer group.
About the role:
- Maintain, lead, and develop high performing teams and effectively lead change.
- Lead and manage a diverse range of project and delivery resources (on / offshore).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Myer stakeholders (internal / external) through negotiating, clarifying requirements and gaining agreement to proposals and ideas.
- Develop and execute a progressive technology strategy aligned with business goals.
- Develop and maintain prioritised Technology initiative roadmaps across Supply Chain & Distribution.
- Develop and execute against Technology business plan supporting Supply Chain & Distribution.
- Budget and commercial management.
- Contract Management.
- Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and performance management.
- Manage Technology change & governance across Supply Chain & Distribution platforms.
- Evaluate, mitigate, and manage technology Risk (inc/ 3rd party risk) across Supply Chain & Distribution.
- Deliver I.T Service Management across Supply Chain & Distribution platforms and services.
- Be aware of Technology industry trends & innovation across the Supply Chain & Distribution sector.
About you:
- Experience: 10-15+ years in senior IT leadership roles, with a focus on Supply Chain, Distribution and sourcing technologies servicing a Retail or FMCG environment. Global experience highly regarded.
- Robotics: Understanding of robotic automation technologies.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse range of project and delivery resources, including capacity to develop high performing teams and effectively lead change.
- Lean/Agile Ways of Working: Superior knowledge of Lean/Agile delivery methodologies and frameworks.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a related technology area such as Information Systems, or Computer Science highly desirable.
- Certifications: Professional certifications in Project Management fields highly desirable such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master, Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe), Professional Scrum Master, PRINCE2 Practitioner.
- Communication: Ability to prepare materials using clear and concise language including the ability to tailor communications to meet the needs of a diverse audience from the Executive Leadership Team to the most junior IT team members. A clear and confident presenter.
- Budgeting and Business Case Preparation: Highly proficient defining and managing technology project budgets. Very strong knowledge of accounting concepts. Strong experience developing IT business cases and capex requests.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent liaison skills including the ability to negotiate, clarify requirements and gain agreement to proposals and ideas.
- Teamwork: Work well with others in the pursuit of team goals, ultimately showing consideration, respect and encouragement for the ideas and contributions of team members.
- Problem Solving: Seeks relevant information, liaise with key stakeholders, and analyse issues from different perspectives to propose workable solutions to problems which ultimately meet the needs of the end user.
