As a Commercial Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Business team to deliver our Merchandise strategy as profitably as possible.
The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with Buying, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal teams to ensure all contractual agreements are documented accurately, and relative supplier income is collected accurately and efficiently.
About the role:
- Accountable for monthly generation of Supplier Delivery Performance data, and deployment of individual supplier reports.
- Prepare and present monthly performance summary to senior leadership team.
- Handling supplier queries in relation to delivery performance reports and relevant compensation claims.
- Lead InFAST supplier training sessions in partnership with Domestic Supply Chain team.
- Accurately record adjustments to monthly compensation claims, and timely submission of final compensation claim amounts to the Accounts Payable team.
- With direction from the Senior Commercial Business Analyst, utilise regular reporting trackers on all forms of supplier income, including but not limited to markdown rebates, advertising subsidy, various automated agreements and time-based manual agreements.
- Support the Commercial Business team on planning negotiation strategies to improve existing supplier trading terms.
- Collaborate with Myer buying teams and relevant business stakeholders on supplier income related activities.
About you:
- At least 12 months experience in an allocations or analyst role or retail equivalent role.
- Strong retail, financial and commercial acumen, with prior experience using planning and reporting systems preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You're well organised, using attention to detail as you find solutions to the challenges the position throws up.
- Knowledge of various merchandise management models and supplier relationships, including wholesale, concession, consignment, marketplace, national brands and private brand development would be highly advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree / diploma in one of the following fields would be preferable but not essential: Fashion Merchandise Management, Commerce, Marketing, Retail Management, Business Management, Economics, Commerce.
