The Apparel Production Manager ensures the brand achieves sales and profit targets through the management of the production process in line with the CTP and agreed budget.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develop and update the Critical Time Path in consultation and agreement, Creative Director, Planning Manager and General Manager
• Drive timeline to ensure team members are aware of work to be completed within critical path (all design / development / order management related activities)
• Ensure CTP is met through management of team capacity and addressing any issues or delays immediately
• Place and negotiate best costs for all orders
• Liaise with supplier to ensure a thorough cost analysis and negotiation for all orders
• Communicate with suppliers daily by email and phone calls to develop the product and follow up on all queries
• Analyse the suppliers capacity to meet the critical path and foreseen any delays and to have contingent plan
• Visit suppliers and factories and ensure continual quality improvement where necessary.
• Continually train and develop the Production Coordinator for future succession and talent planning
• Monitor and be responsible for guiding the development plan for the Production Coordinator.
• New supplier social compliance auditing (along with Myer team)
• Existing supplier social compliance auditing renewal yearly (along with Myer)

Your skills & attributes

• 10 years production experience
• Mandarin-speaking a bonus
• Excel proficiency, AP21 or PLM experience
• Minimum 3 years managing the production for a design led brand
• Relevant qualification would be advantageous, otherwise significant relevant experience
