Reporting into the Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, the Planning and Financial Performance Manager is responsible in providing credible financial planning and analysis for the group, including the development of budgets and forecasts; ensuring the end result is an accurate reflection, and is aligned with company strategic directions.

About the opportunity:

  • Management of annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, including establishment of key data, assumptions, analysis and reporting of outcomes; expected to lead the key processes and actively influence the achievement of planned growth and profitability objectives
  • Deliver credible financial planning and analysis for the group, encompassing the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
  • Liaise with Commercial Finance teams to understand opportunities and risks to budget/forecast and contribute to corrective recommendations
  • Creating and reviewing KPIs, ensuring the right metrics are being used and adhered to; data accuracy and consistency
  • Scenario modelling, including the maintenance of 3 way predictive model
  • Review processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness, with the aim of continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement initiatives targeted at financial processes improvement and the implementation of changes to achieve efficiencies, including the centralisation of reporting/reporting centre of excellence

 

About the role:

  • Seasoned experience in a similar position, preferably within a large complex organisation/environment
  • Experience managing a small team is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • You are a big picture, strategic thinker, with the ability to ‘tell the story’
  • Advanced financial analytical and reporting skills
  • Proficient Excel knowledge and skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and connect with stakeholders on all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and in environments with conflicting and changing priorities
  • A positive approach to change with the ability to be agile and adaptable
