As an aspiring Supply Chain leader, the Senior Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for accurately defining supply chain capabilities that are required to successfully and smoothly operate the end-to-end supply chain operations in Myer and/or its 3PL’s.

 

About the role:

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions using relative industry technologies
  • Lead integration efforts to ensure smooth collaboration across teams, systems and technology
  • Oversee the deployment of Supply Chain processes, ensuring Myer has secure and robust solutions in place
  • Collaborate with the relevant key stakeholders or functions to deliver technological solutions that align with the Myer objectives
  • Continuously update the architecture to support business goals and manage technical debt for scalability and reliability
  • Track and limit technical debt to maintain robust and scalable solutions
  • Plan and assess capabilities to ensure development of cost effective and supportive products
  • Provide expertise in multiple logistics elements to ensure the development of a system design that can meet performance requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improving infrastructure, specifically around efficiency, cost and safety
  • Support Distribution Centre activities including inventory control, facility and process layout, and data analysis, working with both internal and external teams
  • Factor labour requirements, workforce planning and metrics tracking to optimise operations
  • Use logistics modelling tools to design warehouse, transportation and supply chain solutions for both proposals and existing operations
  • Contribute to the implementation and integration of decision support systems at logistics operating sites and provide support to Myer’s internal and external stakeholders
  • As required, assist in the transportation of raw materials and/or finished goods, vendor selection and negotiation, distribution of supplies as needed, and inventory control
  • Develop logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies
  • Work closely with the GM Supply Chain Development to support operational business needs
  • Build a strong cross-functional systems and inventory team, which includes succession planning for your respective team.

 

About you:

  • Experienced leader within DC environment with a strong support/operations background
  • Highly analytical and problem-solving experience within an automated environment is essential
  • Strong systems and inventory understanding with a DC environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with new automated technology and systems
  • Proven change and project management skills
  • Experience in DC diligence, with experience conducting projects highly desirable
  • Supply Chain tertiary qualifications highly desired
  • 5 years’ of experience as a Solution Architect or similar Supply Chain role
