Myer is looking for a People & Culture Business Partner, who will be responsible for providing strategic and operational HR partnership to key corporate functions within the Myer Store Support Office (SSO) function.

You will be working closely with senior leaders to support the delivery and execution of the People strategy, including organisational performance, capability development, and workforce planning across the corporate portfolio. This role is a key enabler of Myer’s people strategy, supporting leaders to develop an engaged, high-performing and future-ready workforce.

About the role:

  • Build strong, influential relationships with senior leaders across the corporate client groups to act as a true business partner.
  • Provide strategic HR advice aligned to business goals, organisational priorities and the broader People strategy.
  • Drive workforce planning initiatives including capability needs, organisational design, and talent management.
  • Support leaders through periods of transformation, system change and digital transformation as required.
  • Coach leaders on effective people management, performance conversations, development planning and team effectiveness.
  • Support leaders to build strong, inclusive team cultures aligned to company values and leadership expectations.
  • Provide insights and trends to leaders based on people data, metrics and engagement findings.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of the annual performance review cycle and outcomes for corporate client groups.
  • Provide advice on remuneration, job evaluation and internal mobility in line with company guidelines.
  • Be a trusted advisor, offering pragmatic, commercially sound HR solutions that enable leaders to achieve business objectives while ensuring alignment with our policies & values
  • Partner closely with internal people teams, including the Industrial and Employee Relations, Talent and Capability, and HR Services & Reward teams

 

About you:

  • 5+ years’ HR experience, with at least 3 years in a HR Business Partnering or similar advisory role.
  • Strong understanding & experience of HR business partnering with corporate functions (i.e. Marketing, Digital, IT, Finance, Legal)
  • Experience in ASX-listed, multi-site or retail industry environments advantageous.
  • Proven experience building strong leader relationships and influencing outcomes at all levels.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related discipline required.
  • Further study in HR, coaching, change or organisational development advantageous.
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR practices including workforce planning, organisational design, talent management, and change management.
  • Understanding of relevant Australian employment legislation and ER frameworks.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance people, performance, and business outcomes.
