Location: Support Office - Docklands
In alignment with the Myer Merchandise strategy, as a Category Buyer for Footwear & Accessories, you will develop, buy and execute a category plan that delivers a compelling and profitable merchandise range that puts the customer first. In addition, you will actively support the Category Manager, as well as being accountable for the end-to-end management for the Fashion Accessories, Jewellery and Watches category.

- Product Development for Jewellery and Fashion Accessories – think Millinery!
About the Opportunity:
- Lead and execute the Myer Merchandise strategy for Womens Fashion Accessories, Jewellery and Watches
- Own category trading with full accountability for sales, profit and stock performance
- Manage national brand ranges end‑to‑end, including financial strategy, product selection, go‑to‑market plans and in‑season trading
- Develop and deliver Myer Exclusive Brands across Jewellery and Accessories, overseeing financials, production and order management
- Maintain strong competitor and trend insights to build relevant, customer‑focused ranges
- Use advanced negotiation skills to secure optimal commercial terms
- Partner with planning to build assortment plans, PSA, product strategy and sourcing approaches
- Oversee marketing and communications strategy for the category
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team through coaching, feedback and training
About you:
- Seasoned experience within Buying, ideally within Footwear and Accessories preferred but not essential
- A strong understanding of the customer, and the product category to build compelling ranges
- Advanced trend analysis and ability to implement according to strategy
- A dynamic, strategic individual with the ability to proactively spot new opportunities for the business within this category
- A commercial and tasteful eye for product
- Strong business acumen, financial and analytical skills
- Superior supplier relationship management skills
- Experienced in trade marketing and strong negotiation skills
- A leader who inspires others and can lead by example
