Myer Group is looking for a Management Accountant to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis across the Apparel Brands - Stores portfolio that enables the financial success of the store network.

About the role

• Ensure accurate financial accounting of the Apparel Brands Stores portfolio, encompassing month-end process, including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, variance commentary as well as monthly reporting
• Support the Commercial Finance Manager to ensure accurate financial measurement of the key cost drivers and to assist in the evaluation of performance and opportunities for the business
• Deliver ongoing support to key business operations stakeholders and assist in explaining what financial data means to aid with decision making
• Prepare budgets and forecasts for the Apparel Brands Stores and Retail Operations Cost Centres
• Assist in other ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting for the broader Myer Group business units, and assist with value add projects on day to day duties and processes

About you

• CA/CPA qualification (or working toward) is preferred 
• Experience working within a similar role in retail/property would be beneficial
• Advanced analytical and numerical skills and a strong understanding of financial metrics and their impact on the business
• Advanced skills in excel
• Ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with each key internal and external stakeholder
• Able to manage expectations, communicate clearly and ensure that issues are escalated and managed appropriately
