The People and Safety Team is seeking Risk & Safety Coordinator to provide operational support to the NSW Risk & Safety team in the delivery of injury and claims management ensuring compliance is achieved with our workers compensation and self-insurance obligations.
Flexible remote working arrangement or 1 day a week from our Roselands office
- Part-time 24-32 hours a week
- 7 month contract role
About the role:
- Triage incident reports for NSW to ensure potential workers compensation claims are identified, accurately recorded into the Myer claims management data systems and escalated within the NSW Risk & Safety team for action.
- Provide support to the NSW Risk & Safety team in the management of injuries, early intervention cases and claims including registering and maintaining case records, document management systems andpayment of claim invoices.
- Maintain the Myer SOLV injury and claims management data systems for NSW, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
- Manage the Risk & Safety Team NSW mailbox, responding to emails and escalating emails to NSW Risk & Safety team as required.
- Manage scheduled processes to support National Risk & Safety team and claims management activities.
- Completion of scheduled and adhoc claims reporting to support NSW and National Risk & Safety teams.
About you:
- Experience in administration of workers compensation claims
- Understanding of and proficiency with the use of incident reporting and claims management systems, familiarity with the SOLV Injury system is an advantage.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to use a range of influencing techniques to gain trust and support
- Problem solving approach and ability to use existing skills pragmatically when encountering handle non-routine problems and situations
- Willingness to learn from others with a flexible mindset of continuous improvement
- Ability to work autonomously and complete work in a timely manner to a high standard
