About the Role
- Lead the creative vision for your category, delivering trend-led collections that bring the brand strategy to life.
- Translate global trends, customer insights and cultural moments into products customers can't wait to wear.
- Own the design process from concept and mood boards through to final product delivery.
- Create compelling ranges across colour, print, fabric and silhouette that balance creativity with commercial success.
- Partner with Planning and Product Development to build exciting assortments that delight customers and drive results.
- Champion product excellence through fabric, print, fit and sample development.
- Use customer, market and trade insights to identify opportunities and shape future collections.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Visual Merchandise and E-commerce teams to bring collections to life.
- Influence the future direction of Myer Exclusive Brands through fresh ideas and innovation.
- Support and inspire junior team members within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
About You
- Proven experience in fashion design within apparel, accessories or a comparable retail environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Textiles or a related discipline desirable.
- Strong ability to translate trends and customer insights into commercial product.
- Exceptional eye for colour, print, fabric, fit and styling.
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills, with working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign.
- Strong CAD, artwork and design pack capability with excellent attention to detail.
- Commercially minded with the ability to use customer, market and trade insights to inform decisions.
- Collaborative and confident in building relationships across cross-functional teams.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver to critical path deadlines.
- Passionate about product, trends and developing others.
