 In alignment with the Myer Merchandise strategy, as a Sourcing & Production Specialist, you will support both the Sourcing and Production Managers as well as the Buying teams to ensure the brands achieve sales and profit targets through the management of the sourcing and production processes.

About the Opportunity

  • Develop and maintain the Critical Time Path (CTP) in collaboration with Designers and the Product Development team, ensuring alignment and agreement across stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress against the CTP, proactively managing team capacity and resolving any issues or delays to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure delivery schedules and timelines are achieved, with effective follow-up and negotiation where required.
  • Manage fabric bookings and negotiations with nominated mills to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Collaborate with the Ethical Sourcing team to ensure all suppliers comply with the Myer sourcing framework and standards.
  • Accurately prepare, manage, and record all costings in the system.
  • Lead weekly WIP (Work in Progress) reviews with factories and internal teams, ensuring product development remains on track and addressing any outstanding queries.
  • Identify, assess, and develop new supplier relationships in line with the direction of the Sourcing and Production Manager.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of new suppliers, ensuring full understanding of systems, procedures, quality standards, AQL requirements, shipping processes, and compliance expectations.

About you

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production within any of the following: Homewares/Hardgoods/Stationery/Seasonal/Toys/Accessories
  • Previous experience in a Production Specialist, Production Coordinator, or Sourcing Specialist role or similar
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining strong, collaborative, and productive working relationships.
  • Creative and innovative approach, with the ability to think strategically and solve challenges effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Highly organised and results-driven, with a strong focus on efficiency and achieving objectives.
