Myer is looking for a Finance Analyst – Retail Operations to support the Commercial Finance Manager in delivering strategic insights and performance reporting that drive the financial success of Myer’s Apparel Brands retail network. This role provides tailored advice, reporting and business case support to key stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and contributing to driving the store network performance metrics.
About the role:
- Assist in the month end, budget and forecasting processes for Retail Operations for Apparel Brands
- Assist in ad hoc projects and analysis and assist with value-add projects on day to day duties and processes
- Analyse financial data and results to educate the Retail Operations businesses on the levers of success and opportunities to improve profitability to inform strategic decision making
- Assist in preparation of monthly performance reporting, metrics submissions and commentary for the Board & EGM, as required
- Work with key stakeholders to build detailed budgets and forecasts
- Preparation of monthly results presentations and forecasts for key stakeholders
- Ad hoc duties as required
About you:
- 3+ years‘ experience in a commercial or business partnering role
- CA or CPA qualified or similar qualification, with previous experience in a Commercial Finance environment
- Previous experience in Retail, FMCG, eCommerce, logistics or a similar diversified sector, preferred
- Strong excel modelling skills with previous experience working with large data sets
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to establish a deep understanding of any business problem being analysed
- A positive approach to challenge and change with the ability to be agile and adaptable
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders
- A proven ability to challenge and influence key business stakeholders and processes to drive the best possible outcome for the organisation
