As a Designer with Myer, you will play a pivotal role in executing the Myer Exclusive Brands product strategy, specifically for our Homewares team, working across multiple product categories including bedlinen, soft home, tabletop and home décor and executing the design direction for aligned brands.

About the Opportunity:

  • Proactively identify global print and pattern trends to keep our collections fresh, relevant, and aligned with our brand DNA.
  • Partner with multiple merchandise teams to develop cohesive, story‑driven designs across a variety of categories.
  • Create prints that balance strong visual appeal with the ability to drive incremental sales and support business goals.
  • Organize, catalogue, and maintain our print library and digital assets to ensure efficient access and seamless workflow.
  • Convey design concepts effectively through compelling visuals and articulate explanations that support brand alignment.
  • Embrace learning opportunities across the homewares space, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to expand your skill set.

Your Background:

  • 2+ years’ experience in design or product development, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Strong background in Homewares and ability to translate global trends for the Australian market.
  • Demonstrated versatility across multiple artwork styles, with proven hand‑painting expertise evident in folio.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, garment finishing, and fabric properties, including treatments, washes, and weights.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with familiarity across Microsoft applications.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including retail, financial, and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast‑paced, cross‑functional teams and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Deep knowledge of market trends, customer segments, and the competitive landscape.
