MYERGroup is seeking a Technical Solutions Lead – Retail to be responsible for translating business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and ensuring high‑quality solution design, delivery, and operational stability across store and back‑of‑house applications.
The role provides technical leadership across support, design, and delivery, ensuring alignment between business priorities, application teams, and vendor partners.
About the role:
- Lead the clarification and communication of business and technical requirements.
- Coordinate cross‑functional input between Retail Operations, Architecture, TCS, and application teams, ensuring priorities are understood, risks are identified, and operational needs are fully considered.
- Oversee documentation standards for changes and enhancements, including future‑state process mapping, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria to support high‑quality delivery.
- Review and align solution designs provided by the Architecture team, ensuring they are clearly understood and accurately translated into actionable documentation, technical requirements, and testing expectations for Retail Operations, TCS, and relevant stakeholders.
- Support delivery teams by providing technical context, validating solution readiness, ensuring smooth handover into production environments.
- Manage operational and delivery‑related issues, supporting triage, impact assessment, and resolution activities to maintain stability across store and back‑of‑house applications.
About you:
- Extensive experience with retail Point of Sale and store systems
- Experience with back‑of‑house retail applications (e.g., stocktake, receiving, ER&D)
- Hands‑on experience with AWS environments
- Strong understanding of delivery operations, pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with programming languages (JavaScript, Python)
- Experience working within Agile and Product Delivery Frameworks
- ITIL certification preferred
- Proven ability to manage and influence external vendors in a technical environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑friendly language
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities, along with a customer‑centric mindset.
