Myer is an iconic Australian retailer, and we’re looking for a data-driven, commercially minded Senior Commercial Business Analyst to join our Merchandise team. This role is responsible for managing and optimising supplier income streams by developing and maintaining accurate tracking and forecasting tools. Working closely with the Buying, Finance, and Legal teams, you will ensure supplier agreements are executed effectively to drive profitability and support the Myer Merchandise strategy.

About the Opportunity:

• Manage the creation and maintenance of accurate, timely reporting tools that track all forms of supplier income, including advertising subsidies, markdown rebates, delivery performance, and both automated and manual agreements.
• Provide in-depth analysis of supplier income streams and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes and support business decisions.
• Accurately forecast supplier income and communicate potential risks and mitigation strategies to ensure targets are met.
• Provide input into planning negotiation strategies to improve existing supplier trading term agreements.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Buying, Planning, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Marketing, and the Commercial leadership team to ensure supplier income activities are aligned and executed efficiently.

About You:

• 2 years’ experience in a commercial, financial, Merchandise planning role or equivalent
• Demonstrated understanding of the retail market, customer segmentation, trends and competitive landscape
• Proven experience working with large datasets and financial models to drive insights and support business decisions.
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint and merchandise planning systems a plus.
• Strong understanding of supplier terms, deal mechanics, and compliance principles, with the ability to interpret contracts and assess commercial risk.
• Ability to lead, influence leaders and work cross-functionally
• Adaptable, proactive, and collaborative—with the resilience and maturity to work independently and contribute to a high-performing team.
• Bachelor’s degree / diploma in one of the following fields would be preferable but not essentials: Fashion Merchandise Management, Commerce, Marketing, Retail Management, Business Management, Economics, Commerce
