MYER is looking for an Insights Business Partner who will play a critical role in transforming how Myer leverages data and insights to drive strategic decisions. This role acts as a trusted advisor and partner to stakeholders in Myer’s Merchandise business unit providing actionable insights to inform decision-making and enhance engagement, performance, and growth with our customers and our suppliers.
Combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of retail dynamics, the role requires a strategic mindset, analytical proficiency, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations to support the Full Potential Plan, Insight Led Buying and Marketing Optimisation Analyses. Success in this role requires a balance of tactical execution and visionary leadership, including a willingness to roll up your sleeves, lead a team of specialists, and contribute meaningfully to organizational strategy.

About the role:
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across assigned business functions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for insights and analytics support, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Partner with stakeholders to embed data and insights into decision-making processes.
- Develop and deliver data-driven insights tailored to business needs, focusing on areas such as category performance, customer behaviour, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiencies.
- Translate data into actionable strategies to drive growth, incremental revenue growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer experiences.
- Adopt common standards and best practices for how insight projects are initiated, prioritised, developed and delivered, including following organisational guidelines for data privacy and security
- Curate, present, and disseminate actionable insights and strategic recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and C-Suite executives
- Conduct deep dives into customer behaviour, market trends, and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities and risks.
- Support the development of segmentation strategies to guide differentiated approaches to win in the market
- Guide and oversee the development and usage of reporting and dashboards that provide access for the team and stakeholders to regular performance & customer insights.
- Identify opportunities for new Insight capabilities and enhancements and guide and lead their development
- Lead insight enhancement projects and deliver deep-dive analyses to address key business challenges and drive data-led decisions.
About you:
- Demonstrated expertise in a senior insights role within a fast-paced consumer environment (e.g., FMCG or Retail).
- An impactful storyteller with a knack for identifying the “so what” from complex data
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing insight and analytics teams.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with cross-functional teams and influencing strategic decisions through data.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in fostering collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and influencing senior stakeholders to drive strategic change and achieve unified consensus.
- Extensive experience in change management, introducing new concepts, and leading stakeholders through transformation journeys.
- Background in building and instilling a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation within teams.
