The Customer and Marketing team is seeking a Digital Design Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality digital content across the Myer Group's customer-facing digital channels. Responsible for managing a team of designers while remaining hands-on, this role creates and delivers digital content across multiple channels, translating stakeholder briefs into engaging, customer-focused creative.
The role is responsible for driving design excellence, workflow efficiency and the ongoing development of digital creative capabilities and style guides.
About the role:
- Translate stakeholder briefs and create digital content for campaign, promotional and always-on activity across eCommerce, email, social media and digital marketing channels, using campaign assets, eCommerce photography
- Develop digital concepts and creative solutions for non-campaign initiatives
- Create and present mock-ups for stakeholder review through approved workflow and proofing platforms, incorporating feedback and revisions to achieve final approval
- Produce and export final creative assets in accordance with channel-specific technical specifications and requirements
- Develop, maintain and evolve digital design guidelines, templates and best practices
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Digital Designers
- Manage team workload, priorities and resource allocation to ensure deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard
- Partner closely with the Digital Content Production team to ensure creative deliverables are completed in accordance with agreed production schedules and critical path timelines
- Ensure all creative output aligns with brand guidelines, quality standards and channel-specific requirements
- Partner with the Production Manager to establish and continuously improve digital design workflows and ways of working
About you:
- Substantial experience in Digital Design, Creative Design and Digital Content Production, ideally within retail, eCommerce or agency environments
- A portfolio demonstrating high-quality digital creative execution across multiple channels and customer touchpoints
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring or developing designers within a creative team environment
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), Figma and Mac OS environments
- Experience creating digital assets across multiple digital channels, including eCommerce, email, social media and digital marketing
- Strong understanding of digital requirements, asset specifications and channel-specific creative formats
- Experience using workflow, proofing and collaboration platforms
