Myer Group is looking for a Senior Treasury Operations Analyst to be responsible for managing the organisation’s day-to-day treasury operations with a focus on retail cash flows, liquidity management, and financial risk. Reporting into the Reporting to the Finance Operations and Treasury Manager, you will ensure efficient cash utilisation, supports store/network operations, and maintains strong controls over cash handling, payments and funding.

About the role:

Cash & Liquidity Management

• Forecast short and medium-term cash flow requirements
• Monitor and manage daily cash positions across all entities and bank accounts
• Optimise liquidity across multiple jurisdictions
• Ensure adequate funding for operations, especially in peak periods

Finance Operations

• Oversee daily banking transactions including receipts, payments & associated reconciliations
• Drive improvements in tender settlements across the Group
• Data integrity of general ledger
• Manage POS cashflows, settlement process, and merchant facilities 
• Hedge accounting
• Bank administration
• Daily reconciliations (Bank, Scheme cards, Loyalty)

Financial Risk Management

• Identify and manage exposure to liquidity and FX risks
• Support hedging activities where required
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies 

Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly treasury reports
• Provide insights on cash performance, variances and working capital trends
• Support budgeting and forecasting from a treasury and cashflow perspective

Governance and Controls

• Maintain strong internal controls for all tender types
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Support internal and external audits
• Look to continuously improve processes to reduce operational risk

System and Process improvement

• Promote and support finance transformation and automation initiatives when they arise.

About you:

• 5+ years of treasury or finance experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business, CPA or CA
• Experience in retail, FMCG, or high-volume transaction environment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
• High level of accuracy and high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle non-routine problems and situations.
• Accounting background and experience with Retail industry is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills with ability to work between various priorities such as between BAU and initatives/projects.
