This generalist, HR Advisor role is ready for someone to to grab with both hands!

In joining Myer as the People & Culture Advisor partnering with our Merchandise client group, not only will you be joining a fun, warm and agile business, you’ll play a key role in providing operational and strategic HR support, as well as driving and championing programs and initiatives aligned to our People strategy. You will be responsible for generalist activity across the entire HR life cycle, coaching on ER matters as well as contributing to value-add projects such as our recognition program and diversity and inclusion strategy, all within our support office environment.

About the role:

  • Supporting the overall People strategy, specifically the effective practice and implementation of HR initiatives such as performance, talent, culture and team member retention
  • Coach, mentor and develop people leaders to be successful in their roles and achieve business objectives
  • Play a key role in cultural and structural initiatives within the business, by actively liaising with various managers and departments
  • Partner with and advise people leaders on HR and ER policies and procedures

About you:

  • 1+ years generalist HR experience in a similar role, from a fast-paced environment
  • A passionate person who has worked within the HR discipline
  • Well grounded, energetic, committed and achievement oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills in order to navigate through complex business paradigms
  • Ability to work objectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive & go-getter attitude
